Staying connected in love and prayer

Prayers during All Saints Service of Remembrance, 2021

“ Prayer is at the center of a transformed life. This Wesleyan way of life is inconceivable without a regular and disciplined practice of prayer. ”

~ A Guide for Daily Prayer, Reuben P. Job

Congregational Care Team

Under the supervision of our clergy, care team members maintain connection with members unable to be present in-person through cards, calls, and home visits.

Healing Prayer Partners

During the sacrament of Holy Communion near the end of the 11:00 service of worship, trained healing prayer partners are available in the north transept of the Sanctuary for intercessory prayer and anointing with oil. Prayer Request Cards may be given to healing prayer partners or to clergy in the Narthex following the benediction.

Prayer Ministry

The congregation is invited to share prayer concerns with the Prayer List Coordinator who distributes monthly prayer concerns by email and postal mail. Prayer Request cards are available in the Sanctuary pew racks, and requests can be designated for the clergy only. Contact office@charlottefirst.org to be added to the monthly distribution of “Prayers at First.”

“ It’s super important for our church members, leaders, and partners to pray for unity… prayers to bring them together, enabling them to work in harmony to fulfill God’s will for our church. ”
